l have two guinea pigs that are 3 months old. They love carrots and will eat green pepper once in a while. They used to eat red pepper but wo not any longer. They love fruits too but from what l read they need veggies more..
Any suggestions to get them to eat some besides carrots? They ignored the spinach and parsley...

How can I get my guinea pigs to eat vegetables

Keep providing new veggies. My piggies learned to love red peppers, kale, and parsley by having cut edges sort of rubbed along their lips or held at ''mouth level'' so it was available for them to check out in their own time. As youngsters they will explore more and learn in time that veggies are the best treat for them!

How can I get my guinea pigs to eat vegetables

Sometimes u need to offer the same thing several different times before a guinea pig decides to try it. It is probably best not to offer the same thing twice in a row if they do not eat it, but offer something else the next time or two.
Our guinea pig immediately enjoyed cilantro, carrots & organic green beans but it took several attempts before he decided to try parsley, oranges, melon or bell pepper, all of which he *loves* now. They can be such strange, cautious little guys.

Keep offering them. Wash them well too, remember that they have a very good sense of smell.

Pellets are formulated to be just about perfect nutrition.
