my guinea pigs are new to this house and have no toys (yet) and what would be a cool homemade toy
Just plain old cardboard tubes from toilet paper, or any other cardboard box. You could get a really big box and make little rooms with tunnels leading to each one with treats and things inside like a maze. My hamster liked that, I am sure guinea pigs would too.
