Hi.l had 2 guinea pigs.They lived in the same cage and ate the same diet.l fed them timothy hay, timothy pellets, and veggies high in vitamin C. One of my pigs got sick. The vet said that he had Gl stasis.We tried treating him for itbut he did not respond and ended up dieing.My other guinea pig seems to be ok.He is eating well and seems to be drinking.Should l worry about him getting sick too?
I have 4 guinea pigs. I've had them for a pretty long time, but I would have six, but sadly. Two of them died. = [ But to answer ur question, I would take him/her to the Vet just in case. But before u do so, make sure to keep a very close on it, & then if it starts behaving oddly, then take him/her. If ur guinea pig is still on it is regular basis diet, then it should be OK, but try & remember what happened before ur other guinea pig died, & all its symptoms. If any start occurring to ur other one, then u should start worrying. I hope this helps! = ]
I suggest take him to the vet just to be safe :)
